SEATTLE, Oct. 20, 2012 -- /PRNewswire/ -- E. Donnall Thomas, M.D., who won the 1990 Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine for his pioneering work in bone-marrow transplantation to cure leukemias and other blood cancers, died today. He was 92.
