Cortney Reid, 19, of Gilmer, has endured health problems her entire life. As a baby, she was diagnosed with focal sclerosing glomerulosclerosis, which caused scar tissue to build up in her kidneys. Doctors now say a kidney transplant is critical to her survival, and she is currently undergoing evaluations in hopes to be added to the transplant waiting list soon.
