Dear Drs. Donohue and Roach: I am a 60-year-old woman who has always have been extremely healthy. I decided to get a checkup. I did have a high cholesterol level, but I wasn't expecting the doctor to say I am in stage 3 kidney failure. Am I destined for dialysis or a kidney transplant?
