A decade ago a Carlsbad infant needed a new liver. Today, Kayleigh Barnes, now 11, is a transplant success story. Kayleigh, daughter of Amber Barnes, is an active, bubbly adolescent on the threshold of becoming a teenager. She has no restrictions and only takes one rejection medication twice a day; a far cry from the 12 or so medications she took following her transplant.
